CIL application successful

Cabot Cruising Club’s application for Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) funding to improve accessibility in Bathurst Basin has been successful. Much of the CIL fund goes for city-wide projects, but some is devolved to Area Committees as Local CIL.

Our local area committee (Area 4) has awarded £58,800 to deliver the following:

  • Relocating handrail to waters edge, quay-stones (car park railing to remain in place): £11,600
  • Remove drop curb on Bathurst Parade and install of removable bollard: £4,000
  • Repairs to paved surfacing on quayside: £8,000
  • Litter bins x2 (Big belly compaction type): £12,200
  • Upgrade street lighting: £23,000

The allocated funding will be transferred to the Harbour Authority for them to deliver the project.

Our congratulations to Cabot Cruising Club and its commodore, Ben Ewing.
