There is a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order closure of Guinea Street from Redcliff Hill to Alfred Place. The order is required to upgrade gas mains and will cover ‘a maximum period of eighteen months’. However, we are assured that the closure may not be implemented for the whole period but only as required by the works, which are anticipated to take place between 23rd January and 10th March 2023. The work also involves the partial closure of the western end of Guinea Street, as shown in our main image.
As the map below indicates, a diversion is in place which takes traffic to the western end of Guinea Street via Redcliffe Parade East, Jubilee Place and Alfred Place.
