Lighting issue resolved – eventually

We raised a lighting issue on FixMyStreet as light D026 on the Lower Guinea Street car park was far too dim. Bristol City Council replied that there were no issues with D026. We sent images showing the low light level and the Council’s lighting designers still thought the lantern was functioning properly.

Adam Brocklehurst (AMS and CMS Officer with Bristol City Council) then emailed us with the solution:

Finally an engineer who knew nothing of the situation was out walking his dog and sent me a picture of a ‘vandalised light’, which in fact turned out to be D026, so I raised works for this to be cleaned yesterday.

As a result, the quayside is brightly lit, as our image shows.
