Plants around Bathurst Basin

The plant lists below are a start kindly made by a local resident in June 2019. There are probably many more plants around the Basin. Ferns

Asplenium ruta-muraria – Wall rue
Asplenium trichomanes – Maidenhair spleenwort
Ceterach officinarum – Rusty-back fern
Phyllitis scolopendrium – Hart’s tongue

Grasses

Poa compressa – Flat-stalked meadow grass
Polypogon monspeliensis – Annual beard grass
Polypogon viridis – Water-bent

Trees

Bathurst Parade: 3 Norway maples.

John Sebastian Quay: 10 London planes (platanus x acerifolia) adjacent to Commercial Road and a line of Norway maples (Acer Platinoides) and Norway Maples ‘Crimson King’ (Acer Platinoides ‘Crimson King’) with 2 Sweetgums (Liquidamber Styraciflua) interspersed.

Lower Guinea Street: a line of Common Ash (Fraxinus excelsior) and One-leaved Ash (Fraxinus excelsior ‘Diversifolia’) with 2 Honey Locusts (Gleditsia triacanthos) interspersed.

In front of the Ostrich: a line of various Norway maples as per John Sebastian Quay, but with one Acer Platinoides ‘Cucullatum’ included.
