Residents living close to Bathurst Basin now have a fully operational public Automatic External Defibrillator. Martyn Green, resident of the General, raised £1,655 from his Just Giving campaign, and with a further grant from the British Heart Foundation, the defibrillator has been purchased and installed.
To locate the defibrillator: turn into the main courtyard at the rear of the General (off Guinea Street) and it can be found at the foot of the stairs on the right of our photograph (below). The grid reference of the location is 51.4472828, -2.5934936 and you can use the following “what3words” to locate it as well: ///uses.rock.organ
Martyn thanks everyone who donated to this very worthy cause and he is arranging training of local residents over the next few months. Contact Martyn for details: martynjgreen@me.com
