The Bristol Open Doors festival, produced by the Architecture Centre, will be held from 13th to 15th September 2019. The festival gives citizens the keys to the city with hands-on workshops, talks and expert-led tours. There are some Open Door activities close to Bathurst Basin:
- Redcliffe Caves (was fully booked but more tickets were released on 14th Sep)
- LV 55, The John Sebastian lightship: open on Friday 13th September, 12 -5 pm; Saturday and Sunday (14th and 15th), 10 am to 5pm . On offer: tours, theatre shows at 3 pm on Saturday and Sunday, live music, colouring for children, competitions and refreshments.
- Friday 13th September, City & Country is holding two guided tours around The General. The first tour will be between 10 and 11 am and second between 12:30 and 1:30 pm. There will be 25 people on each supervised tour.
