Following the extensive conversion work on the General Hospital, we have lost the road signs on Lower Guinea Street which runs from the public Council Car Park to the Ostrich Inn. The street has existed for hundreds of years and it really should be signposted with appropriate street name plates.
A Friend of Bathurst Basin has emailed Bristol City Council’s Street Naming and Numbering department requesting the installation of three street signs:
a) at the Commercial Road junction, i.e. near the Lower Guinea Street car park ;
b ) at the bottom of Guinea Street by the Bathurst Basin footbridge where people want to go to The Ostrich, Casamia Restaurant, Paco Tapas, Torque Gym and the General;
c) at the entrance to Bathurst Basin for people walking and entering the Basin from Redcliffe Quay.
