Marchioness Jetty: Planning Officer’s recommendation
The Planning officer’s report on the Marchioness jetty proposal has been published. The report recommends that the proposal be rejected.
High-tide overflow
A high spring tide, made even higher by low atmospheric pressure, caused water from the New Cut (River Avon) to overflow into Bathurst Basin.
Marchioness Jetty decision date
On 18th March the City Council’s Development Control Committee B will take a decision on the proposal to build a jetty on the wall of New Cut along Commercial Road.
New Bollards
As part of Lower Guinea Street road and pedestrian infrastructure upgrade, five new bollards have been positioned.
Elderly road sign retires
The road sign warning traffic of elderly pedestrians along Lower Guinea Street has been removed.
New Automatic External Defibrillator
Residents living close to Bathurst Basin now have a fully operational public Automatic External Defibrillator.
New trees on Commercial Road
Two new trees have been planted alongside Commercial Road to replace the old tree stumps. The trees are Old World sycamore.
